I have been diagnosed since 1998 and understand full well the severity of Fibromyalgia. I am pleased there are support groups out there as I know how benefitial it is to talk about our condition. It is just unfortunate there is not one in Perth, as like a lot of people on this site Dundee is too far for me to go.

I got diagnosed in October, finding it hard to get people to listen to me and understand.
I'd like to attend a FM meeting sometime but have no way of getting there at the moment, anyway I wish you all a pain free Xmas.

Hi - you should come along to the meetings at Ninewells on the 1st Saturday of every month. Next one Sat 1 Aug 11-1pm. Its very welcoming for the sufferer and the carer... If you want to ask specific questions - ask at the meeting, we cannot reccomend any medications but we can give you advice with what has helped us in the way of exersice and foods/diet. Hope to see you on Saturday.
